1. Scope
These Terms apply to the public Seitiate website, public project materials, and your use of Seitiate project content made available by Agent-C LLC. The Seitiate engine itself is open-source software and is governed primarily by the applicable software license for the repository or component you are using.
2. Open-Source License
The core Seitiate engine is released under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 (AGPL-3.0), unless a repository or file states otherwise. Your rights to copy, modify, run, and distribute the engine are governed by that license.
If you are building a hosted or commercial offering on top of Seitiate, you are responsible for complying with the AGPL-3.0 or obtaining any separate commercial terms that may be offered for your use case.
3. Ownership and Responsibility
Using Seitiate does not transfer ownership of your content to Agent-C LLC. We believe users should retain ownership of the content they create and the useful durable context they build over time.
At the same time, Seitiate is infrastructure, not a guarantee that every deployment automatically provides the same operational, privacy, or security properties. If you self-host the engine, you are responsible for the environment, access controls, and data handling in that deployment.
4. Hosted Products and Separate Terms
Products built on Seitiate may have their own terms, privacy notices, pricing, and operational policies. Those products may charge for compute, storage, governance, managed environments, operations, support, or user experience.
Those fees should not be understood as a transfer of ownership of the user's content or durable context to the platform. Hosted products should make their own commitments clearly in their own product terms and privacy materials.
5. Portability and Anti-Lock-In Direction
Portability is part of the public doctrine of the project. We reject lock-in through inaccessible derived context, and we believe useful exports should include more than raw files when reasonably possible.
However, this page should not be read as a promise that every version, deployment, or hosted product already implements the same export and migration behavior. Exact mechanics depend on the code and product documentation in effect at the time.
6. Use of the Website
The materials on seitiate.com are provided for informational and project-related purposes. You agree not to misuse the website, interfere with its operation, or attempt unauthorized access to systems or data associated with it.
7. No Blanket Security Guarantee
Nothing on this site should be read as a blanket promise that all Seitiate deployments already provide full user-held end-to-end encryption, complete operator blindness, or uniform infrastructure controls. Security properties depend on the actual deployment and implementation.
8. Disclaimer of Warranty
The Seitiate software and public materials are provided "AS IS," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Agent-C LLC is not liable for damages arising from your use of the software, website, or public project materials.
